GEMMASTER LED with digital adapter


GEMMASTER microscope base with LED illuminated darkfield for highest contrast and cool working stage area. To grade diamonds and examine the internal world of coloured stones. To pin-point their inclusions and to match the colour in overhead daylight - all by innovative LED. Optical system is the well known LEICA binocular StereoZOOM coming with 16x eyepieces for a total magnification of 10 x – 64 x !!

LED Darkfield Illumination

The darkfield illuminator light source is an innovative high contrast LED system with a lighting power equivalent to a 35 Watt incandescent halogen lamp. Lifetime of about 20,000 hours. It is flickerfree and has a non-noise digital power supply

Despite the high LED lighting power the Cool-Touch® technology makes sure the microscope stage stays cool. The temperature at the stage never exceeds 25°C/77°F (room temperature).

Controls for electronic dimming of darkfield LED illumination without change of colour of light. Incandescents on the contrary get yellow/red tinted.

Circular reflector system illuminating authentic with highest contrast and mountable diffusor sheet. 

Darkfield Light Colours

First time in gem microscopy the choice of three colours of darkfield light as a unique feature: 4,500 Kelvin neutral daylight is standard, optional 5,000K daylight or 3,500K incandescent light colour are available .

Different gemstones may need different light:

  • Diamonds & coloured stones: neutral-white 4,500 Kelvin
  • Diamonds only: daylight 6,500 Kelvin
  • Traditional warm-white: 3,500 Kelvin

For comparison: a tungsten/incandescent lamp has about 3,000 Kelvin.

VARIOFOC Interchangeable LED System

LED spotlights at gooseneck are the perfect successor for fibre optic light guides: Versatile in their application and easily exchangeable to different beam spreads and colour of light.

USB Ports

One USB port at each side of the stage for additional LED coldlight pin-pointer or LED overhead lamp. Good for other USB plug & play accessories as well. No data transmission!

Ergonimic Features

Professional, ergonomic stage design for a comfortable wrist and finger position.

The base can be tilted up to 42° for the most comfortable user position with any optical system.
Adapter to use for iris diaphragm as tweezers support.

The high darkfield spot makes quick microscopy by finger handling of mounted stones easy.

Innovative MAGNETIC CLICK stone holder system with magnetic socket at each side of the stage for right- or left-hand use. Extra ring holder to be clamped on stoneholder.

Precise focus adjustment by turning focus knobs. Focussing column designed and manufactured by LEICA
