Upgrade your old GIA GEMOLITE microscope! Keep your good old American Optics or Bausch & Lomb optics and place them onto a state-of-the-art bright-/darkfield base!
The good old GEMOLITE by GIA is a true classic and has been around for many years. Especially for the older series (+15 years) we noticed two possible problems:
Therefore we developed a set to upgrade your old GEMOLITE without having to buy a whole new microscope unit! Keep the good old American Optical or Bausch & Lomb optical system and place it onto the base of our renowned GEMMASTER microscope. Upgrading is easily done - all you need is a screw driver.
Darkfield illuminated by high-intensity discharge lamp, equivalent to 35 Watt halogen lamp. Delivers 50,000 Lux to the stage. Change from dark-field to bright-field by turning blind-knob.
Despite the high lighting power the Cool-Touch® technology makes sure the microscope basis stays cool. Unlike other microscopes the temperature at the stage never exceeds 25°C/77°F.
Different gemstones need different light:
For comparison: a tungsten/incandescent lamp has about 3,000 Kelvin.
The non-focal light source of the dark-field illuminator delivers very smooth and diffuse light to the specimen. No additional diffuser necessary.
Turning knob for electronic dimming the dark-field light source. Iris diaphragm for adjusting the amount of light.
The whole stage can be tilted for adjustment to the most comfortable position for the viewer.
Swivel allows whole microscope to rotate on 350° for easy and comfortable positioning.
