The detection of trace elements within gem stones as the individual fingerprint has a long tradition. As an important gemmological tool the spectroscope optical system has been developed in many different ways of design and construction.
In the early days affordable light sources for gem testers had only poor light intensity. Our powerful cold light illuminator base GEMMODUL M9/100 with fibre optic light guides is first class state of the art technology and was designed to support most spectroscope types available. Below you can see a selection of common spectroscopes that can be used with M9/100.
